The french company Hprobe was created in 2017 and develops automated semiconductor testing equipment (ATE) for magnetic devices. Hprobe is one of the several spinoffs of Spintec, (among eVaredis, Antaïos, and Crocus) and has been focusing in solutions for the testing of several magnetic devices such as MRAM or TMR. On the other hand Mycronic is a Swedish high-tech company specialized in the production of high precision equipment for electronic industry.
This acquisition will strengthen Hprobe’s technological and commercial leadership in the field of MRAM and magnetic sensor testing while extending its reach to other international markets. “Wafer and semiconductor testing are attractive expansion areas for Mycronic, and Hprobe’s unique technology, which enables the rapid generation of strong magnetic fields over large areas, makes it a perfect fit,” said Magnus Marthinsson, Senior Vice President of Global Technologies at Mycronic. “With the rise of AI, VR, AR, and the automotive industry, new growth opportunities are emerging. This acquisition positions Mycronic to be part of this exciting industry transformation.”
